Happy Birthday Liam!

Liam Moroni Mattei made his grand entrance into the world on Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at 3:11 pm. He weighed 7 pounds 5 ounces and was 20 inches long. I feel very blessed to have had an uneventful healthy pregnancy, short labor and smooth delivery resulting in a perfectly healthy beautiful baby boy. Big brother Alex has anxiously awaited this day for 9 long months but couldn't come visit "baby bubby", as he calls him, in the hospital or at home for a week after Liam was born due to Alex having been hospitalized b a virus and his bad asthma 2 days before Lam was born. We just couldn't risk Liam catching any bad bug right off the bat so their meeting was delayed until Super Bowl Sunday. Dustin brought Alex home from grandma and grandpa Larsen's house and when he saw baby Liam his eyes grew 3 sizes and sparkled like diamonds. He spat out his binki, dropped his toy, and held out his hands exclaiming with all the zeal a 3 year old can " baby bubby, baby bubby, you came home! I wanna hold him!" It was the absolute best moment of my life to see his immense happiness over having his brother home. I feel like the luckiest mother in the whole world!

Larsen Family Christmas Party

Every year my grandma and grandpa Brailsford host a Christmas party where everyone gathers at her house and enjoys good food, great company, and of coarse a visit from Santa Clause! Alex was especially excited to get to sit on his lap this year. When Santacame in the door Alex ran across the room screaming Santa Santa" and practically tipped him over with the worlds biggest hug! And he didn't leave Santa's side from that point on untill it was his turn to sit on his lap and tell him he wanted a truck. The world has never seen a happier child! It was a fantastic party thanks everyone!

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!

25!

So I am a quarter of a century old today. It has been a great life so far full of fun times with family and friends. I consider my self to be a very blessed person to have been born into such a wonderful family, to have had the company of such good friends, to have married my prince charming and be given a perfect little boy as well as one more on the way! Thankyou to everyone who has played a part in shaping me into who I am today!

I was born on the foggy snowy night of December 8, 1984 and went home ina christmas stocking.
Me at about 9 or 10 years old. Don't ya just love the big blue square glasses, apparently I did lol.

I am an offiacial teenager at 13 here with braces and all, glad the awkward days are over :)

Pumpkin Patches and more...

Pumkin Patching...
I think every family has a season where they come alive more than at any other time of the year and my family is a fall family. There is truely no other season that is looked forward to more than the autumn and everything that comes with it. Every October it is our my families tradition to go to the pumpkin patch owned by the little old couple behind Zions bank in Draper to pick out our pumpkins for Halloween. Everyone found a pumpkin they liked and Alex even found a leaf bug which was the highlight of the whole trip for him other than getting to pull the wagon full of pumpkins.

Alex and me admiring the leaf bug.

My oh so handsome husband!

My dad, the photographer who hates to have his picture taken but is so photogenic when he does allow it.

Gardener Village
Another well looked forward to event is all the girls going out to gardener village to have some witchy fun! This year unfortunatly it was just Alex, my mom, and I but we had fun none the less.

Halloween!

Halloween!

Halloween is definitly a family favorite and this year especially. Alex has soaked in everything halloween all month and nearly came unglued when the time finally arrived to wear his cotume and go trick-or-treating in the dark. He literally ran from house to house yelling "happy halloween", "trick-ot-treat", and keeping a constant conversation with "Mr. Moon" telling hin all about the candy he was getting and how dark it was outside etc. We went around our entire block and then trick-or-treated my parents whole street. It got to the point where his bag was too heavy for him so he would drag it. We would ask him if he was all done and in a tired but determined little voice he replied "no need more candy!" I think he had more fun that night than he has ever had in his life it was truely our best halloween yet!

This is our pregnant pumpkin with the baby pumkin inside :)

Boys! Boys! Boys!

We found out that we are to be expecting another boy on February 9th! We are all very excited, although I am starting to feel a bit out numbered! After Alex saw his baby brother on the ultra sound he informed us that his name was to be "little bear". We told him we would vote on it later :D Anywho all has gone well epecially now that the throwing up has finally ceased and I am starting to feel like a human again. I feel him moving and kicking frequently now but he's not quite big enough for anyone else to feel, much to Dusty and Alex's shagrin.

Summer Sumery

This summer flew by so fast I barely had to time to live it let alone blog it. We have so much fun playing with friends, discovering new places, and just being together as a family that we wanted to share just a few of our captured highlights from this summer.
